A firm built on the corridor between two markets.
Eidan Partners works where three things rarely found together intersect: business development, capital, and the execution of large-scale projects.
Where it comes from
The firm brings more than forty years of general management and business development across both markets: founding and running our own companies, start-ups among them; building US subsidiaries from the ground up and carrying them to scale with full P&L ownership; negotiating with leading developers and corporations; and graduate training in finance. We have made these decisions before advising on them.
That track record includes opening markets and raising institutional capital for large-scale projects in the United States and Latin America, and the field work that moves a transaction worth hundreds of millions from rendering to construction: structuring, partnerships and negotiation with first-tier counterparties.
We work interchangeably in Spanish and English, which in this trade is not a detail: half the misunderstandings between a Latin American company and its US counterparty are not cultural, they are translation.
Why it exists
There is an asymmetry in the corridor. Mid-market Latin American and Caribbean companies and family businesses looking at the United States — and US companies looking at the region — face decisions as complex as the large players do, with one difference: they have nobody to ask. International consultancies work at a fee scale that does not add up for them, and local consultants usually know one side of the border well.
Eidan Partners exists for that gap. One counterpart instead of two: we replace both the local consultant and the partner on the ground. Fixed fees, never commission. And a clear preference for saying no when a project does not hold up.
How we work
Every engagement starts with the decision, not the market. Before looking at a single industry figure, it has to be clear what is being decided, who decides it, on what evidence and by when. That framing shapes everything else and prevents the two-hundred-page report nobody uses.
Every deliverable is built to survive an outside audience: a board, an investment committee or a bank. Models are delivered open, with assumptions in plain sight, so the company can keep using them after the engagement ends.
The name
英断 — eidan — is a Japanese word with no direct English equivalent: the hard decision that time proves right. Not the comfortable call or the postponed one, but the one made with incomplete information and little time, which years later is recognized as the point where the company changed course.
Hence the name: it is exactly what it takes to decide when to enter a market, how much to commit and when to hold.
What the firm brings

- Applied finance — value analysis, capital structuring and project models that hold up in a committee or with a lender

- Negotiation with leading developers and corporations, in Spanish and in English
